Ethos Housewares Why I Care Launch at The NEC Spring Fair 2009

The 2nd annual Ethos housewares competition was launched at the Spring Fair at the NEC. Students were asked to propose a new mug shape which all the designs would be applied to and also to propose a surface pattern design with the concept "why I care..."

The student work touched upon a range of issues, showing how we all care passionately about a wide range of issues.

Sarah Illsley designed the mug that is used as a vehicle for all the designs.

The Mug collection will be available in stores such as Urban Outfitters and Pier from spring 2009.

A great gift to show someone you care, mothersday, valentines, birthday, christmas etc...

Degree show 08

This years degree show had a great design concept devised by 3RD year students. The work was all exhibited on recycled domestic furniture, painted white to mute details and create a blank canvas of the furniture but with a memory or reference to the domestic environment.

The show was a great success and received a wide spread thumbs up from visitors.
